We are a small bakery and internet cafe located in the south of the Lake District.
 

We pride ourselves on using local, seasonal, fairtrade and organic ingredients where possible.

The site has been a bakery for more than 75 years, and they have carried on the tradition of fresh daily baking and providing a warm environment for locals and tourists to feel comfortable and at home in.

The shop table is immaculately loaded with fresh bake goods daily, a take out service is providing for those who want lunch on the run, or our comfortable cafe is attached to the shop which seats 34 customers and also has a lovely wood burning stove to warm up by in the winter.

Holiday visitors can pre-order lunches and pick them up from 8:30am onwards to ensure as much time fell hiking as possible.

We are wi-fi enabled for those who have their own laptops or iphones or alternatively we have a computer for use in our cafe.
